Hopkins’ Rosy Nudibranch – Hopkinsia rosacea (dorid)

Hopkins’ Rosy Nudibranch

Whether on Scuba San Diego’s Snorkel Adventure Tour or one of its guided SCUBA activities it is almost impossible not to see this beautiful nudibranch.  Its shaggy appearance and beautiful pink/reddish coloration make it hard to miss.  It is going to be about an inch long when mature. They are typically found from the low intertidal from Coos Bay Oregon to Puerto Santo Thomas, Baja California.
